Step Two - Setup and Measurement
After properly repairing the surface of your mustang as described in step one, you are ready to begin putting on your stripes.
Start by measuring and defining the dimensions of the car. It is important that you find the exact middle of the car. We took measurements from known dimension, such as the windshield and rear window, truck and hood areas.
Once we were sure we had the middle of the car defined, we used a grease pencil to mark the spot. The grease pencil worked great as it did not dissolve when we applied water to the car when we were putting down the strips.
From the grease pencil mark we measured one inch on either side of the mark. This is were we will align the strip. Once you have at least a mark every 2 to 3 feet you are ready to put on your strip decals.
